Continued nice weather allowed me to get back out into the garden and get some of the spring crops into the ground I planted the onion sets as well as direct seeded the carrots, parsnips, onions, bok choy, and lettuce. I also worked over the rest of the raised beds adding in straw and leaves from the fall (I put them in a plastic container and "weed whacked" them into smaller pieces before working them in. I also added compost from our composter as well as leftover Compost of Maine and manure.
Indoors I transplanted the first set of warm weather seedlings over to larger "air" pots (something new I am trying that I got from Lee Valley this year).
I am also pondering buying some 2x2 reaised beds to add a couple of blueberry bushes. Trouble is its in a part shade location and everything I read is saying that blueberries would be ok in par shade but won't bear as heavily if it were in direct sun. We'll see how it goes!
